GeoSurfing is a site that allows you to browse over 30,000 pages from the GeoCities hosting service, which served international netizens from 1994 to 2009. These pages are graciously cataloged and hosted by the restorativland project. GeoSurfing is merely a means of creating a search engine for this archive.
Some of these sites may contain content that some may find to be objectionable. Express caution when utilizing the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button, which will take you to a random page. Additionally, this site is best experienced on Desktop. Mobile support is semi-functional at the moment. Should the demand be high, I'll consider adding better support for this.
In this collection lies a treasure trove of broken sites, horrible class projects, niche fandom appreciation boards, and personal blogs. The creators of these sites, who are (mostly) still alive with us today, were the pioneers and internauts of an age that was unfathomable to their predecessors. So quickly did the internet turn the tides of man's scientific and social advancement that, like their predecessors before them, an age without the internet would be unfathomable to us. Were it not for these initial creators, we, the humble people upon this blue rock, would be slower, stupider, less curious, and more disconnected with one another.
Lest we forget these wonderful artists, activists, gamers, programmers, fanatics, and kids with keyboards, we thank them for their propensity to create, their desire to share, and the tremendous advancements their contributions have brought to mankind.
